History of Beck+Heun GmbH
1991
Beck+Heun renovates its entire pool of shutter box production machinery within four years.
Rollei in Erfurt (Germany) officially opens a new, modern administration and production complex.
1990
On 1 January 1990 the sole proprietorship Beck+Heun is converted to a private limited company with the children as shareholders – the second generation takes over the business.
In former East Germany the erstwhile Produktionsgenossenschaft des Handwerks (PGH) – a state-owned business – is reprivatised and continues operation as the independent company Rollei GmbH. Centrally located in the industrial district of Erfurt, the site covers nearly 15,000 square metres. Rollei immediately commences sales of the complete Beck+Heun product portfolio, with modern units for windows and doors as well as shading systems.
1989
An additional warehouse with an area of around 1,000 square meters is built.
1983
The insulating shuttering system developed and patented by Reinhold Beck is recognised and honoured by the Hessian Minister of Trade and Technology as an "invention with significant value for the national economy".
1981
Patent granted for an insulating shuttering system developed by Reinhold Beck.
