The possibility of combining external venetian blind and roller shutter hangings
ROKA-TOP® (2) SHADOW and ROKA-TOP® 2 RG/S are innovative systems that are closed on the room side and contribute to the design of the living space. With the right shading system, sunlight can be used excellently to achieve very special comfort. To make the most of sunlight, we recommend ROKA-TOP® (2) SHADOW for house fronts facing east, south and west. Your advantage lies in the various possibilities to dose incident daylight, to regulate the room illumination as desired and to reduce heating costs through the warmth of the sun. For the north side, we recommend the ROKA-TOP® 2 RG/S top-mounted roller shutter box, which is closed on the room side, to prevent energy loss.

Even with the mixed use of ROKA-TOP® (2) (EX) SHADOW and ROKA-TOP® 2 RG/S, an identical fit of the window in the masonry is possible. Other combination possibilities and box changes (e.g. changing the shaft width of ROKA-TOP® SHADOW) can also be realised.

Sophisticated top technology - shading management of a special kind
Easy assembly
The fastening system saves space during transport and simplifies the installation of the roller shutter box. The mounting bracket is individually adapted to the window. Without additional profiles, the complete element is mounted in just a few steps.
Integrated mounting rail
The integrated mounting rail enables quick and easy attachment of the external venetian blind supports. Sources of error are minimised as the tedious marking of the fixing points is no longer necessary.
Profiling
All ROKA-TOP® SHADOW TOP-MOUNTED BOXES receive a special profiling and a sprayed coating on the factory side for better plaster adhesion. For optical reasons, the external venetian blind shaft is given a special dark grey coating.
Invisibly integrable
The advantage of external venetian blindsTOP-MOUNTED BOXES lies not only in their improved insulating properties, but also in their invisible integration into the room. Since the inspection takes place via the external external venetian blind shaft, the box can be plastered over the entire surface from the inside and adapted to the spatial appearance.
Joint tight construction
ROKA-TOP® 2 SHADOW and ROKA-TOP® 2 EX SHADOW are absolutely airtight. The side part is firmly glued and sealed to the box body. The integrated insulation wedge seals the top box to the inside. Full-surface plastering over the box and the insulation wedge efficiently seals the installation joints.
Especially for ETICS facade
The Phonotherm cover of the ETICS solution enables the external venetian blind box to be insulated in accordance with the plaster guidelines. According to these, ROLLER SHUTTER AND VENETIAN BLIND BOXES, which protrude into a thermal insulation composite system, must be provided with at least 40 mm of insulation on the front side.

The rear rail system creates a driving rain-proof connection to the window. The combination of the shortened rear web and the plastic nipple strip guarantees thermal separation.
Height optimised slat
The new C 80 slat makes much better use of the external venetian blind shaft than conventional hangings thanks to its special profile geometry. Thus, with the usual box height of 300 mm, a shading height of up to three metres can be achieved - about 500 mm more than before.
Material styrofoam
The particularly energy- and raw material-saving material Styropor® is very environmentally friendly. The highly insulating polystyrene hard foam [ λ = 0.035 W/(mK) - B1] and the special manufacturing process of the top-mounted reefing gate boxes achieve excellent insulation and sound insulation values.

STABILUM FIXING CONCEPTS
STABILUM FIXING CONCEPTS offer various options for absorbing wind loads from the window and transferring them into the structure. The products are technically tested and guarantee that no functional impairments, permanent deformations or damages occur on the window under defined boundary conditions.
3x faster drive
The new STM motor is 3x faster than a standard motor and releases a patio door in under 20 seconds. Turning and slat positioning take place at standard speed. Nothing else needs to be considered during installation - planning effort, integration and control are unchanged.

Guide rail system and TYPES OF SUN SHADING
Like all thermally separated guide rail systems, SHADOW TG also offers a structurally safe design in the area of the window reveal. It creates a driving rain-proof connection to the window. The combination of the shortened rear web and the plastic nipple strip guarantees thermal separation.

The use of different side guides, such as the Shadow TG guide rail, spacer mounting and cable guide, guarantees use for almost any structural requirement.

The on-site screw connection of an upper mounting bracket to the rear masonry enables a thermally separated as well as load-bearing connection and prevents plaster cracking.

INSECT SCREENS
Later retrofitting with a INSECT SCREENS is possible at any time. By using a deeper base rail, the necessary space between the external venetian blind curtain and the frame is already available or predefined.
